Race for Glory by Stefano Mordini will be released in Italian theatres in March

The movie, which chronicles the world of motor racing, was partly shot in Val d’Orcia

Lancia Vs Audi. 1983 World Rally Championship. Race for glory is the title of the film that tells a legendary battle between the two famous car manufacturers. The movie is produced by Lebowski, the company of Riccardo Scamarcio (L’ombra di Caravaggio, Alla vita, Te l’avevo detto) who also plays the role of one of the two protagonists, Cesare Fiorio, the acclaimed Lancia sports director. Daniel Brühl (Rush, The Alienist, Inglourious Basterds) is co-starring as the rival Roland Gumpert, the equally renowned head of the Audi sports department.

Location

Race for Glory by Tuscan director Stefano Mordini was also filmed along the dirt roads of Castiglione d’Orcia in Tuscany in March 2022. It will be released in Italian theatres on 14 March. Last January, it was released in the United States.

Synopsis

The film recreates the true events of the 1983 World Rally Championship, recounting the historic rivalry between the unbeatable German Audi team led by Roland Gumpert (Daniel Brühl) and the Italian Lancia team of Cesare Fiorio (Riccardo Scamarcio). Starting at a distinct disadvantage, the Italian manufacturer will not be deterred and puts together an unusual but competitive team.
