DESCRIPTION
A small town founded by the Etruscans, Porto Ercole is a coastal town on the Argentario coast. This small town, with its characteristic marina, is made up of lots of narrow streets surrounded by a ring of walls. Very picturesque are the forts of Porto Ercole, which date back to Spanish rule, and certain historic monuments such as the Church of Sant’Erasmo, the Palazzo dei Governanti, and the Rocca Aldobrandesca.
