DESCRIPTION
The Lardarello Geothermal Power Station is located on the metalliferous hills of Pisa, in the middle of the Valle del diavolo (Devil’s Valley). Borax fumaroles, with their typical columns of white vapour, are present here. It is the world’s first experience of exploitation of geothermal energy for the production of electricity.
