Barberino Val d’Elsa is a village dating back to the 11th century and located approximately 30 km from Florence. Its historical town centre is a classic medieval settlement, long in shape and with a main street running through it, connecting the two entrance gates. Among the historical monuments of interest: the Pilgrims’ Hospital, the Church of San Bartolomeo and Palazzo Pretorio.
