The actor Stanley Tucci (Big Night, The Devil Wears Prada, Conclave) embarks on an unforgettable culinary voyage across five italian Regions – Tuscany, Lombardy, Trentino Alto Adige, Abruzzo, and Lazio – showcasing their diverse flavors and rich traditions. The five-episode docuseries Tucci in Italy is produced by the actor’s own production company, SALT Productions, with Specialist Factual Productions of BBC Studios.
The series premieres May 21st at 8pm on National Geographic and all episodes stream from May 19th on Disney+.
Location
The series was shot partly in Tuscany between May and July 2024. The set was interesting for the quarries of Colonnata in Carrara and Siena: here Tucci took part in the dinner of the General Test of the Palio on 2 July, in the district of Valdimontone. In Florence filming took place in the streets of downtown and at Cibreo restaurant by Giulio Picchi.
