DESCRIPTION
Situated near Larderello, the village of Sasso Pisano is famous for the exploitation of the fumaroles and of the borax lagoons. It is located in the complex of the metalliferous hills, in the area known as the “Devil’s yard”, because of the geothermal events that characterize it, the so-called fumaroles.
