Max Mara: filming in Florence for the new “Pasticcino Bag”

Weekend Max Mara celebrated the launch of “Italian Roots” in Florence, the latest chapter in the Pasticcino Bag World Tour—a project that, season after season, showcases international artisanal expertise through collaborations with leading names. The 2026 edition is a special milestone, as it coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Pasticcino Bag and marks a symbolic return to its roots: Italy.

Locations

Filming took place in Florence in mid-May. Among the locations used were the squares and streets of the city center, as well as the garden of Villa Corsini, Cantinetta Antinori, Fattoria di Maiano, Officina Profumo di Santa Maria Novella.

The collection pays homage to Italian textile and decorative traditions through six special-edition, numbered Pasticcino Bags, crafted from the exquisite jacquards of the Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, a historic Florentine manufacturer founded in 1906 by Giuseppe Lisio.
