Approximately 15km from Mount Argentario, Orbetello is a unique town which lies on the thin strip of land extending out into the lagoon of the same name. The damp lagoon area is separated from the sea by two strips of land (Tombolo della Giannella and the Tombolo della Feniglia) with long sandy beaches.
