The Basilica of San Domenico, dating back to the 13th century, is one of the most important religious buildings in Siena. The Basilica has an austere and solid appearance in its brick architecture with a gabled façade, devoid of decorations. The interior has an Egyptian cross layout and contains the relic-head of Saint Catherine of Siena.
