Cartoon Movie 2018, Bordeaux 7-9 March.
The 20th edition of the Cartoon Movie European animated film market, held from 7-9 March in Bordeaux, break its own record!
An intense event intended to create a synergy between producers, investors and distributors of feature-length animation films, has gathered an impressive number of participants (880 from 41 countries, including 257 buyers). France stands in first place with 18 projects, followed by Germany (seven), Spain (five), Denmark (three), Belgium (two), the Czech Republic (two), Italy (two), the Netherlands (two) and Poland (two).
This year, amoung the selected projects it has been noticed a particular interest towards family comedies and children’s films (Chris the Swiss by Anja Kofmel, Allah Is Not Obliged by Zaven Najjar, Folio d’Alba by Frédéric and Samuel Guillaume, The Sea Wolf by Emmanuel Gorinstein).
Intended for young audiences, has drawn attention projects like: Slocum by Jean-François Laguionie, A Greyhound of a Girl by Enzo d’Alò, Bartali’s Bicycle. Hopes for Tomorrow by Enrico Paolantonio, In the Dark and Mysterious Forest by Alexis Ducord and Vincent Paronnaud and The Last Whale Singer by Reza Memari,The Precious Gift by Lenka Ivancikova.
